The Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, can be seen in northern Norway from as early as August until as late as May. Here you will find a selection of images featuring the Aurora together with breathtaking scenery from Norway and Sweden.

Northern Norway and Sweden offer extreme contrasts between winter and summer, darkness and light, barren mountains and luxuriant valleys.

The Norwegian coastline, including all islands and fjords, is over 100 000 kilometres long. North of the Polar Circle the islands og Hinnøya, Senja, Vesterålen and of course Lofoten are a haven for the visiting photographer.
